Russell Ockmond:
Executive Director

Russell has a 13-year working history in the music industry in writing, recording, performing, and touring. He has organized, produced, and promoted live music events in LA, TX, MS, and FL. He has amassed a vast array of knowledge critical to a band’s ability to work professionally in the music business. He is a standing member of ASCAP. His knowledge spans from: conception, to production, with a final emphasis on an ability to perform material live. He has attended, performed, and volunteered for, numerous music conferences in our region. He is in charge of day-to-day operations and overall coordination of our programs.

Sabrina Baker:
Treasurer

Sabrina is a long-term volunteer of The MVC. She has helped produce and promote numerous events. She has exceptional office skills that aid in producing, organizing, and promoting live music events. She is fluid in Photoshop, Quicken, and most word programs. Her strengths are what artist needs to be empowered with in today’s marketplace. Her communication skills allow her to work closely on a 1-on-1 basis with artists to aid in their development.

Troy Morel:
Officer

Troy has a 10-year history of working with live sound reinforcement with local, regional, and national talent. He has worked with Pyramid Audio, Stage Right, and Bernard Productions, (area production companies), who produce a large percentage of our area’s live music events and festivals. He has the ability to handle all of the technical aspects of mixing multiple bands in live situations. He is able to handle all of the random issues that arise at multi-band live music events. He is knowledgeable in present day and vintage music equipment, and is able to address most compatibility issues arising from use of such equipment.

Jared Ockmond:
Officer

Jared has worked as stage-hand at numerous events and has been responsible for helping to get bands on and off stage during music events. His ability to coordinate and help the bands and artist with any issues needing addressing prior to, and during our live music events has made him a valuable asset to this organization. He is our stage manager and stage crew all rolled into one. He will be working periodically with day-to-day operations and for live music events.


Ted Legendre:
Officer

Ted is the newest addition to our organization. He has worked with area law enforcement for over a decade and will address and assist with any security issues. He also helps to keep an ever-watchful eye over day-to-day operations. His ability to recognize security issue as and advise on how to limit risk exposure is considered a great asset.
